DOTO STORE Made in Hokkaido

Japanese furniture brand DOTO STORE launches a pop-up store at BELOWGROUND, showcasing the latest pieces from their 6-WAY and 6-WAY MINI series designed in collaboration with Hong Kong DJ Jim Yan.

Co-Founded by Yamagami Yuichiro, whose family has worked in carpentry going back three generations, DOTO STORE aims to share Japanese craftsmanship with the world. Made from centuries-old trees in Hokkaido, the designs strike a considered balance between tradition and modernity.

Inspired by the “small unit” of Japan’s 1LDK apartments (one-bedroom apartments), the 6-WAY series is made to fit into our modern lifestyles. With each piece intended to serve several functions, they are designed to become your most frequently used piece of furniture and serve a long-lasting purpose.

In addition, the JDF21 SIDE TABLE “BLACK SERIES” will be available at the pop-up store for the first-time as well as furniture pieces from Hokkaido-based, Yamagami Mokko that has over 70-years history in woodworking and was tasked with making the Hokkaido “TAMO” ash medal cases for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The DOTO STORE Hokkaido Furniture Pop-Up will be available at the DOTO STORE in BELOWGROUND starting from 1st October until 23rd October, 2022.
