“SLIDE” is a new solo exhibition from Tokyo-based artist and illustrator Yutanpo Shirane, on show at BELOWGROUND, in collaboration with Asterisk.
Born in 1968 in Saitama Prefecture Japan, Yutanpo Shirane is a prolific illustrator who has collaborated with various brands and magazines over the years. Known for his minimalist style, where the female form is depicted in a colourful fashion, with a simple, clean line that is at once full of sensuality yet retains a dreamy and naïve quality.
Following on from his previous exhibition at little hut in Taipei, “SLIDE” showcases a series of new works from the artist, presented with support from Vans.
“SLIDE” is on show at BELOWGROUND from 15 December to 31 December 2023.
