Japanese sandal brand SUICOKE opens its first pop-up store in Hong Kong at BELOWGROUND. Along with the latest SS23 collection, the brand will also showcase their most popular footwear styles, such as the iconic MOTO and DEPA, as well as limited-edition collaborations with Mastermind Japan and Toga Archives.
With an interior design that features natural elements and structures, the pop-up store references SUICOKE’s latest SS23 collection, which was photographed in the Japanese subtropical island of Yakushima. Evoking the ancient forests of this locale, the experiential and textured backdrop breathes life into the footwear, reinforcing the collection’s roots in tradition and exploration.
The GTA and MOTO styles are updated through bandana-inspired designs applied using digital print, while the POLK, CAPPO and URICH designs are elevated through the use of bold colours and playful executions. For the ZIP model, a play on textures sees SUICOKE utilising mesh beneath a check tape to create an interesting contrast between the materials.
