‘I STILL HOPE YOU LIKE IT’ — A SOLO EXHIBITION BY HUANG SHIANG

‘I Still Hope You Like It’ is the first solo exhibition in Hong Kong by contemporary artist Huang Shiang, presented by Quiet Gallery.

The exhibition presents new works by the Taichung-based artist that explore the relationship between humans and their interactions with nature. Inspired by her own pet birds and her process of interacting with them, Shiang presents her vision through various media such as painting and ceramics, bringing viewers along on an imaginative journey.

Growing up with a passion for drawing, Huang Shiang is also the Artistic Director of Mindslow Workroom, and has been emerging on the art scene in Taiwan with her first exhibition held at Little Hut last year.

Revolving around the concept of the lady with birds, the theme of ‘I Still Hope You Like It’ revolves around uniquely shaped birds, expressed through gentle layers of acrylic and mixed media. By depicting her treasured pets, the artist aims to express the energy of love to her viewers.

‘I Still Hope You Like It’ is on show at BELOWGROUND from 23 February to 10 March, 2024.
