BELOWGROUND is delighted to present a special one-day pop-up exhibition and book signing to celebrate the launch of THE MONSTERS TRILOGY by Kasing Lung.
Born in Hong Kong and raised in the Netherlands, Kasing Lung fell in love with picture books and European folklore as a child. In 2003, he became the first Chinese artist to win the European Picture Book Competition with “Oki.” Since teaming up with HOW2WORK in 2015 to create LABUBU and THE MONSTERS, his whimsical world has captured global hearts. In recent years, Kasing has focused on painting, with his works warmly received by collectors and featured in solo exhibitions in Hong Kong, Taipei and Tokyo, as well as group shows in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Paris.

THE MONSTERS TRILOGY features three heartwarming elf stories that explore the themes of Family, Love, and Friendship. From a touching tale of family and sacrifice, to an emotional exploration of love and choices, and a powerful story of friendship and courage, this beautiful hardcover edition comes with luxurious binding, a collectible slipcase, limited-edition art cards, and a full-colour THE MONSTERLAND map.
The exclusive book pre-release coincided with an exhibition featuring more than 20 original artworks.
