Chef collaborations are nothing new to the people of Hong Kong, but when we turn this creativity and collaborative spirit into a great cause, that creates something extraordinary.

#Onigiriforlove πŸ™πŸ€: A 13-Michelin Star Charity Pop-Up

From July 19th to August 1st 2021, some of the most celebrated chefs in Hong Kong join forces for #onigiriforlove at BELOWGROUND. All proceeds from the event will go towards Impact HK and Feeding Hong Kong, in collaboration with eco-friendly packaging by Shellify.

Initially inspired by fellow chefs and friends, Hisato Hamata and Yoshihiro Narisawa, the original #onigiriforlove founders in Japan, Chef Richard Ekkebus decided to take the lead and was passed the baton to continue this initiative in Hong Kong. Chef Ekkebus says β€œChef collaborations are nothing new to the people of Hong Kong, but when we turn this creativity and collaborative spirit into a great cause, that creates something extraordinary. We’re extremely excited to start the project and raise as much for charity as we possibly can.”

An all-star – or to be accurate, 13 Michelin star – charity event, helmed by Chef @rekkebus, features local chefs and restaurants presenting their own spin on the classic Japanese β€˜Onigiri’. We present you the run-down of the #onigirisquad:
