BELOWGROUND is delighted to announce the Green Cow Garden Pop-Up Store by Japanese artist and illustrator Kohei Ogawa.
Kohei Ogawa is known for his soft, storybook aesthetic that blends realism with childlike wonder. His Green Cow Garden universe is populated by gentle animals and shy, kind monsters living in an old abandoned human town near a city — a quiet, curious world where these characters build their own thriving community once humans have left. Through paintings, soft vinyl figures, felt works and now collectible cards, Ogawa invites viewers into a warm, imaginative realm that feels both nostalgic and full of quiet surprises.
Presented by HOW2WORK CTC and organised by SAKA SAKA, the pop-up transforms BELOWGROUND into an immersive gallery and curated retail space. Anchored by a 1.4-metre BG Bear statue making its Hong Kong debut, the installation brings Ogawa’s signature visual language directly into the venue. Visitors can experience original artworks alongside limited-edition vinyl figures, lifestyle goods and the global debut of the HOW2WORK CTC | Green Cow Series 1 trading card collection.
The trading card series marks Ogawa’s first foray into the TCG space. It features 137 distinct designs spanning Normal, Rare, Parallel Rare and Secret rarities, with randomly inserted hand-drawn sketch cards by the artist and on-card autographed UR cards. Event exclusives include the BG Bear Vinyl Figure Collectible Set (limited to 100 sets worldwide), the BG Bear Felt Plush Needle Doll (limited to 20 pieces), and GEA × Kohei Ogawa Art Slabs with exclusive promo cards.
The Green Cow Garden Pop-Up Store is on show at BELOWGROUND from 15 to 31 August 2026.
