“INKHEART”- AN EXHIBITION BY CREATIVE DUO- ANDREW MOK AND TATE MOK

Andrew Mok, better known as Drew/Offgod is a creative artist with works spanning art and fashion. Drew now works with his older brother, architect and designer Tate Mok, expanding their creative practice to designing sculptural pieces alongside artwork and fashion related work. This expanded art-making palette allows for creative endeavours spanning many disciplines, from art to fashion to sculpture to installation, cultivating a multidisciplinary following with their distinct artistic style.

“INKHEART” references the fantasy adventure novel written by Cornelia Funke in 2003, a childhood book turned film the duo both fondly remember. This idea of materialising and giving form to imagination is central to our practise and is on full display in the exhibition.

Carrying a distinct language of soft and organic formwork, the creative siblings mixed hand-drawn ink art pieces each with unique sculpture frames, transitioning seamlessly from 2D to 3D in their practice. One constantly informs the other and vice versa.

“INKHEART” is on show at BELOWGROUND from 1 June to 26 June,2024
