Following a residency in partnership with Asterisk, Morgan Tam returns to BELOWGROUND with a tattoo studio entitled “Cruel Touch.”
Paying homage to the fashion and hip-hop culture of the late 90s and early 00s, Billionaire Boys Club (BBC) joins forces with British headwear label Kangol on a capsule collection launching through a pop-up store at BELOWGROUND.
‘In Plain Sight’, the solo exhibition by American contemporary artist Andy Rementer opens at BELOWGROUND. Presented by Quiet Gallery and curated by WAY by Way of Difference, the show provides a full overview of the artist’s oeuvre, featuring 14 figurative paintings and 3 sculptures — including 5 rare artworks in die-cut shape specially created for this exhibition in Hong Kong.
Pivoted by unique sounds and stories, FM BELOWGROUND connects creative communities and crosses boundaries through airwaves. Powered by music collective Yeti Out, the studio is equipped with recording facilities designed to highlight local artistry.
Purveyor of vintage and sought-after collectibles, Asterisk first launched in 2015 in the heart of Hong Kong. Fast forward to the end of 2020, Asterisk became one of BELOWGROUND’s inaugural residents.
Asterisk has since hosted Japanese cardboard sculptor Tomotatsu Gima’s pop art exhibition “23” which showcased 23 unique Air Jordan cardboard artworks. The brand also collaborated with artists such as Yu Nagaba, Naijel Graph, Ken Kagami, Yutanpo Shirane (YUROOM), and Yuri Hasegawa to curate various experiences.
