Archive Editions and New York-based contemporary artist Daniel Arsham presents the global debut of Arsham RSA, a special pop-up retail experience at BELOWGROUND.
Driven by the artist’s longtime fascination with automobiles, the Arsham RSA space and capsule collection takes inspiration from the design language of a customized 1973 Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 car in light yellow with light blue accents and a warm corduroy brown interior.
The pop-up store features a limited-edition collection that draws inspiration from the exterior and interior of the legendary sports car. The capsule consists of an array of apparel and accessories, including an exclusive line-up of t-shirts, long-sleeved tops, and hoodies. Other highlights include tote bags, a weekend bag, ashtrays, and CASETiFY iPhone cases, showcasing neutral and vibrant tones with reinterpretations of the Arsham RSA logo and related graphics.
To commemorate the Arsham RSA pop-up, an exclusive first release of the ‘ERODED CARRERA RS’ sculptural collectible edition in WHITE will be made available in very limited quantities. Based on the classic 1973 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring sports vehicle, the figure reimagines the car model as a relic from a future archaeological dig site.
The ERODED CARRERA RS comes in Arsham studio designed housing with die-cut foam, sealing label, and a pair of white art handling gloves. Each sculpture is 310 mm in length and weighs 2.8 kg. Each piece includes an Arsham Editions holographic label verifying its edition number and authenticity.
Arsham RSA is open from 28 July to 23 August 2022 (11 AM – 7 PM) at BELOWGROUND.
